Who we are

Stinger Studios is a digital agency operated by Meredith Ragsdale in Mebane, NC. This policy covers the site at stingerstudios.com. If you have questions about anything below, email us at howdy@stingerstudios.com.

What we collect

Two categories of information: what you send us on purpose, and what your browser tells us automatically.

Information you give us

When you fill out a form on this site (the contact form, or a booking or intake form on a page we build for a client), we collect the details you enter. That normally means your name, email address, phone number if you provide one, the name of your business, and whatever you write in the message field. If you email or call us, we keep the record of that conversation.

Clients who log in to The Hive, our client portal, have a WordPress user account with a display name and email address on it. Only the client and Stinger Studios admins can see that account.

Information collected automatically

Like most sites, ours logs standard analytics: which pages you visited, roughly where in the world you visited from, the type of device and browser you used, and how you found us. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. It sets cookies in your browser to track those sessions. If you would rather not be counted, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings.

If you arrived here from a Google Ad, our advertising tracking notes that click so we can measure whether the ad worked. That tracking is a small parameter in the URL, plus a cookie that lasts up to 90 days.

How we use it

The information you send us goes to one place: our inbox, so we can respond. If you asked us a question, we answer it. If you asked to work with us, we set up a call. We do not sell contact information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a marketing list without you asking to be on one.

The automatic analytics we use to understand what pages people find useful, which ones need work, and whether the site is doing its job. We look at trends across visitors, not individual profiles.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted services to run the site. Each one only sees the information it needs to do its job.

Contact form submissions run through Gravity Forms on our own WordPress install and land in our regular business inbox at Google Workspace. Analytics goes to Google (Google Analytics 4 and, for advertising measurement, Google Ads).

Beyond those services, we do not share your information with anyone unless the law requires it, or unless you have specifically asked us to (for example, sending your quote request to a client we introduced you to).

Cookies

This site uses cookies for three things: keeping you logged in if you have a Hive account, measuring analytics with Google Analytics 4, and measuring advertising with Google Ads. That is it. No third-party retargeting, no advertising networks, no social pixels dropped for other companies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time; the site will still work.

How long we keep it

Contact-form submissions and email correspondence: we keep those for as long as they are useful for the working relationship, and then we archive or delete. Analytics data: retained by Google for up to 14 months by default. Client accounts on The Hive: kept while the client is active, and removed when the engagement ends unless the client asks us to keep the access open.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see what information we have on file for you, correct it, or delete it. Email howdy@stingerstudios.com with your request and we will confirm within a few business days. If you live somewhere with formal data-protection rules (California, the EU, and similar) those give you the same rights explicitly, and we honor them wherever you live.

Children

This site is for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information through the site, email us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we update how we handle information, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes, meaning changes that affect how we use or share what you send us, will be noted here in plain English, not buried.
